Root Crown uses 650nm low-level laser and red-light technology, with proximity sensors designed to pause the light when the device is lifted. Always position the device fully before starting, never look directly at the light sources and follow the supplied user guide. If you take photosensitising medication or have a light-sensitive or existing scalp condition, consult your GP or dermatologist before use.

Root Crown is designed with a balanced, hands-free fit and soft internal cushions to distribute its weight comfortably. The light itself should not feel hot, allowing you to read, work or simply unwind throughout the 20-minute session. Adjust the fit before beginning and stop using the device if you experience discomfort.

The light needs a clear path to the scalp rather than the lengths of your hair. If your hair is thick or long, gently part it around the crown, parting or areas of concern before positioning the device. For the most even light coverage, begin each session with a clean, completely dry scalp.

Use Root Crown for 20 minutes, 3 to 4 times per week, unless your user guide advises otherwise. Hair changes gradually, so allow around 12 to 16 weeks of consistent use before assessing visible differences. Taking photographs in the same position and lighting can make subtle changes easier to recognise. Individual results vary, and sudden or unexplained shedding should be discussed with your GP.

Use Root Crown on a clean, dry scalp and apply your serum afterwards, so product residue does not sit between the light sources and your scalp. If you use minoxidil or another prescribed treatment, follow its instructions and ask your GP or pharmacist about the most suitable timing. RootBrush can remain part of your routine, but the two devices should be used separately rather than simultaneously.
